How Escendant works

With the help of Escendants chat assistant - The Curator, building memories becomes a rewarding experience that can be shared with others.

Start with a prompt

Begin by answering a question, adding an image, engaging video, or a relevant document. Alternatively just share the thought you wish to preserve for future reference.

Visualise your memories by asking The Curator to render (almost) anything you can describe: “Draw 20 something me, lost in the streets of Paris” or “Render a polaroid image of an old orange VW Beetle parked in a field”.

Sharing Groups

Choose who sees it

All Engrams are private by default. Some Engraams are just for you or choose to share some with family and friends. Want to share with the world? Make your Engram public and share it via a weblink on WhatsApp, Email or whatever platform you use.

Private and secure

Engrams are intrinsically personal, and so the privacy and security of your data are our priority at Escendant. Share your entire archive with the world, or a single Engram with one person. Your data is always accessible to you alone, and can be exported at any time in a standard format.

Enjoy other users' Engrams

When other users make their Engrams public (available to all) or share them directly with you, those Engrams become available for you to view.

You can find other users across the Escendant Network, but your Connections, Trustees and favourite users are all listed for you, making it easier to enjoy the Engrams of the people who mean the most to you.

  • Private by default – Only Engrams shared with you are visible
  • Share with control – Set sharing groups for your family and friends, so you control who sees what
  • Time Capsule – Set a future release date for your Engrams if you wish

Explore other users Engram archive via chat

As your archive of Engrams accumulate you can permit other users to interact with your archive via chat. Chat connects your material and highlights any Engrams that source a chat response. If the an answer is not available the Escendant's chat agent will let the user know - answers are never hallucinated.

Your Engrams are not static saved files, they exists as an interactive chat that you can return to at any time. The Curator is aware of who you are and the context of the chat, meaning you can resume a thread at any point letting you carry on questioning and developing your Engram.

  • Permission scoped – Only accessible Engrams and sources
  • Traceable – Citations, source opening and labelled inference
  • Third person – Chat agents never pretend to be the archive subject
  • Productive gaps – Useful unknowns can prompt new curator work
