1. About this policy
This policy explains how Escendant Ltd uses cookies and technologies that store or access information on a browser, phone or other device. Our Privacy Policy explains our wider use of personal data.
2. What is covered
Web cookies, local storage, app software development kits, device identifiers, pixels, tags and similar tools can support sign-in and security, remember choices, deliver notifications or measure use. The native iOS app does not use browser cookies for ordinary app screens, but it does use app SDKs and device storage. Legal and support pages opened in Safari may use web technologies.
3. Our rule
We use storage or access without consent only where a legal exception applies. This includes technology strictly necessary for a service you request and may include limited first-party statistical measurement that meets the legal safeguards and provides a simple objection route. For other non-essential technology, we ask before use. We do not treat inactivity, scrolling or continued use as consent.
We do not use advertising identifiers, behavioural advertising or cross-service advertising profiles.

5. Device permissions are separate
Photos, camera, microphone, speech recognition, contacts, location, Apple Music and notifications use iOS permission controls rather than cookie consent. We request access when a relevant feature needs it. You can change access in iOS settings, although the feature may then stop working.
6. Your choices
Use any cookie control shown on an Escendant website, browser controls and iOS settings to manage relevant technologies. You can object to Escendant's statistical analytics at privacy@escendant.ai. We will action the objection and keep only the minimum record needed to respect it. Where consent is the basis, withdrawal stops future use but does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.
Blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent sign-in, security or requested functions. A browser control does not necessarily control an app SDK, and an iOS permission does not control browser cookies.
7. Children
We do not use behavioural advertising or cross-service profiling for children. We minimise statistical data and apply age-appropriate safeguards to child accounts.
8. Changes and contact
We update this policy when technologies, purposes or the law change and give appropriate notice of material changes.
