Add anything to your Engram

Engrams aren’t just words and photos. Escendant supports anything that can spark a memory.

Scanned documents

Old letters, certificates, recipes (even handwritten). The Curator can analyse and summarise all these for you.

Voice recordings

Solo dictation or recorded conversations with multiple participants can be converted into meaningful Engrams.

Video clips

Short clips or hour-long epics (wedding videos) can be analysed and summarised into an amazing Engram.

Location data

Where an Engram happened lets you understand the geography of your life.

Date and timeline context

Escendant has a host of features designed to help you capture anyone's life story.

Sub-accounts

For many people, Escendant will not be about recording their own lives but recording the lives of a deceased relative or the early years of their child. Sub-accounts make managing multiple accounts easy. You can even invite a co-manager to help you contribute to a sub-account.

Voice simulation

Record your voice in the app and, once complete, anyone you share an Engram with will be able to listen to you narrate your own Engrams. Voice simulations are particularly powerful when listening to a loved one who has passed away.

Face simulation

Give your Escendant account a stylised avatar – this is how others will see you on Escendant. You can keep it serious or use our AI avatar generator to create any look your imagination can come up with. All avatars are downloadable for use in other apps.

Emotes

Avatars can be brought to life with small animations that we call emotes. Use our presets or create your own prompt such as: "Put on some sunglasses and smile at the camera" or "Raise a glass in a celebratory style and wink".

Network Connections

Search for other Escendants and enjoy their shared stories in the Network. Connect with family and friends, or invite others to share in your own story. You are always in control of what you share and who you share it with. Stories, memories, and connections flow seamlessly in the Network.

Trustees

Because an Escendant account is for life and potentially beyond, you need some Trustees. Trustees can co-manage your account if you wish but, most importantly, they notify and confirm your passing to Escendant when the inevitable happens.

Time Capsules

Capture future-facing messages for birthdays, anniversaries, or special moments yet to come. Time Capsules let you leave important messages, documents, video and audio recordings for specific people, even if you have passed on.

Transcription

Record your own voice or a chat with others – Escendant does the rest, analysing and transcribing voice recordings automatically into meaningful memories and moments. There’s no typing, no paperwork, just your thoughts recorded in your voice.
